About Crispin Creatives

Simon Crispin Oakley (Principal) - WHO I AM
I grew up locally and attended Homefield independent school. After school, I worked at Robin Hill Landscapes while studying at Kingston Maurward College, earning a City & Guilds Phase II Adv. in Farm & Estate Management. I gained hands-on experience in decking and timber projects, including large installations at Birmingham Midshires HQ and Hampton Court.
To further my education, I obtained a National Diploma in Business & Finance from Bournemouth College. Afterward, I returned to Robin Hill to refine my landscaping skills before spending a few years at Barclays IT Support, realizing that office work wasn't for me.
On January 1, 2005, I founded 'Crispin Creatives', a successful landscaping business that allows me to work closely with clients from planning completion. I take pride in my work and the customer service I provide, which contributes to the thriving success of my business, even in challenging times. I collaborate with trusted subcontractors, including John Ladbrook, Tyler Brough & Peter Killen (Landscapes Consultant) to enhance our competitiveness.

Recycling Waste
At Crispin Creatives, we are committed to responsible waste management and sustainability.
Whenever possible, we recycle soil and spoils directly on-site. If on-site recycling isn’t feasible, we transport waste to a commercial processing facility, typically located within 5 miles of our project sites.
To support our efforts, we use our own 400mm Soil Trommel to process soil on location. This not only helps retain valuable local materials but also significantly reduces fuel usage and lowers our overall carbon footprint.
Additionally, this process effectively removes unwanted weeds from soil stock, ensuring cleaner and more usable material for future use.
